Agreement

By using https://gulfcoastaquatics.com or visiting our retail store at 2847 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34239, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our site or services.

What we sell

We're a retail specialty aquarium store. We sell freshwater fish, saltwater fish, corals, marine invertebrates, aquariums, equipment, and supplies. We also offer free in-store setup consultation and free water testing. We do not offer aquarium maintenance or pond installation services. We do not sell livestock online or ship fish.

Livestock guarantee

Every fish we sell is quarantined for two weeks before sale. If a fish you purchase from us dies within seven days due to a health issue we missed during quarantine — and not as a result of acclimation, water quality, or compatibility issues in your tank — bring the fish back with a water sample and the receipt and we'll work with you on a replacement or store credit. The guarantee does not cover invertebrates, plants, corals, or losses caused by tank conditions.

Special orders

Special orders for specific livestock or equipment may require a non-refundable deposit. We'll quote availability and pricing before ordering. Once an item arrives, you have seven days to pick it up unless we agree otherwise.

Returns

Equipment in unused, original-packaging condition can be returned within 30 days with the receipt. Used equipment, opened consumables (food, salt, water treatments), live plants, and livestock are not returnable except under the livestock guarantee above.

Pricing and inventory

We do our best to keep website information current, but inventory and pricing change frequently. The most accurate stock and pricing information is at the store or by phone. Prices listed online are estimates.

Use of this website

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Content (text, images, layout) is owned by Gulf Coast Aquatics or our licensors. Don't copy or republish substantial portions without written permission.

Educational content

Articles, guides, FAQs, and consultation advice on this site reflect our experience with the local Sarasota market and general aquarium-keeping practices. Conditions in your tank are unique. Use our advice as a starting point and adjust based on your own observations.

Limitation of liability

We're not liable for tank losses, equipment failure, or property damage arising from how you use products purchased from us, beyond the livestock guarantee described above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sarasota County, Florida.

Changes

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
